bisgaard is a Danish shoe brand from Aarhus, founded in 2005 by Marianne and Henrik Bisgaard. The idea grew out of Marianne's years in a children's shoe shop and life as a parent of young children – and the insight into how much the right fit and freedom of movement mean for small, growing feet.
Each pair is handmade from natural materials such as leather, wool and natural rubber – materials that grow more beautiful with time. bisgaard designs its own lasts for full control over the fit, and every model is tested by children before it is released. The result is children's shoes with a Scandinavian sense of form, built to last through play, everyday life and all the little adventures.
